Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners (BGP) was pleased to participate in the 35th UIA World Forum of Mediation Centres, organised by the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA), which brought together leading mediation practitioners, legal professionals and dispute resolution experts from many jurisdictions in Athens on 19 & 20 June 2026.
Our Partner, Dimitris Emvalomenos, Lawyer, LL.M. (QMUL), Accredited Mediator of the Greek Ministry of Justice and the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), London, and Mediators’ Trainer, joined the panel with the theme “Landscape of Mediation in Greece”, presenting the topic:
“The increased importance of Mediation as ESG practice in the era of EU deregulation”.
Dimitris highlighted why
● Mediation not only is an ESG practice in dispute resolution, but it must be considered an ESG standard and
● during the current EU ESG deregulation, it is the time for Mediation!
Dimitris concluded that
Mediation is a renewable means of dispute resolution, and it must be the “Green Deal” for the same.
Dimitris’ presentation is available for download below.
We thank the UIA and the Greek Organizing Team for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this important international dialogue on the future of Mediation.
