From pioneering practices to a premier business law firm.
For over five decades, Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners has evolved alongside Greece’s business and regulatory environment, growing from pioneering practices into a fully integrated corporate law firm advising institutions, corporates, private capital and international investors on complex, high-stakes mandates.
KEY MILESTONES
Establishing the Foundations (1970–1989)
The firm’s story begins in 1970 with Marios Bahas establishing “Marios Bahas Law Offices”, shaping an approach defined by rigorous legal analysis and commercial awareness. In 1983, his practice joined with Yanos Gramatidis to form Bahas, Gramatidis & Associates. Dimitris Emvalomenos joined in 1988, strengthening civil, commercial and dispute resolution capabilities. Spyros Alexandris and Nassos Felonis established their respective offices in 1983 and 1984, later merging with the firm in 2002.
Building the Business Law Platform (1990–2009)
The 1990s marked strategic consolidation. As Greece’s economy internationalised, the firm expanded corporate and commercial capabilities while sharpening its defining principles: disciplined execution, cross-sector adaptability and uncompromising quality. In 2000, it joined the World Law Group to coordinate cross-border matters. In 2002, the firm merged with Spyros G. Alexandris & Associates and Athanassios Felonis & Associates, creating Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners Law Firm – a cohesive platform spanning corporate/M&A, banking and finance, disputes, regulatory and sector-focused practices.
A New Era of Scale and Strategic Continuity (2010–present)
Over the past decade and a half, the firm has advised on high-stakes national and international matters, developing recognised strength in sectors including energy and infrastructure, aviation, financial services, franchising and retail, alongside corporate/M&A, banking and finance, dispute resolution and regulatory practice. Since 2025, under renewed leadership — including partner George Alexandris — the firm is institutionalising its defining principles while investing in talent, systems and delivery for a modern, top-tier business law firm.
