On 17 December 2025 at 15:00, at Aigli Zappeiou, the Hellenic Association of Societes Anonymes and Entrepreneurship (SAE|E) hosted the conference entitled “Capital Market 2.0: Securities Market Reform in Practice”, under the auspices of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and the Ministry of National Economy and Finance.
With the introduction of the new legal framework (Law 5193/2025) and the transition of the Athens Stock Exchange into the Euronext family, the Greek capital market has entered a new era. The conference explored how these institutional developments can be translated into tangible opportunities for businesses, investors and the economy.
Marios Bahas, Co-Founding Partner of Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners, served as moderator of the first panel discussion, entitled “Athens Stock Exchange 2.0: New Opportunities for Businesses?”
The conference agenda was shaped with the significant contribution of both Marios Bahas and George Alexandris, Deputy Managing Partner of the firm. In recognition of their contribution, SAE|E honoured the firm with Platinum Sponsor status for the conference. Valuable support was also provided by SAE|E’s Legal Counsel, Ioanna Anastasopoulou, and by Dr. Dimitris Tsibanoulis of Tsibanoulis & Partners Law Firm, who moderated the second panel discussion.
The conference brought together leading market participants, regulators, legal practitioners and business executives to discuss the latest developments in Capital Markets Law and their impact on the strategy, financing and competitiveness of Greek businesses. It provided valuable insights into the practical implications of the recent reforms and the opportunities arising from the ongoing evolution of the Greek capital market.
