The newspaper larissanet, in its special collector’s edition Summer 2023, featured an extensive article on the two olive grove restoration projects carried out at two historic heritage sites – Ancient Olympia and Delphi – both conceived and coordinated by Yanos Gramatidis, Partner at Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners Law Firm.
Thanks to the invaluable support of the sponsors, 135,000 and 30,000 olive trees respectively were donated to replace those destroyed by wildfires, benefiting the affected farmers of Ancient Olympia and the Traditional Olive Grove of Amfissa. As part of the Amfissa project, three boreholes of major importance to the region were restored and brought back into operation. In parallel, a series of educational programmes for local farmers was designed and implemented in cooperation with four educational institutions.
The two projects were completed in record time, in July 2022 and July 2023 respectively.
