Overview
Real estate is a longstanding pillar of the firm’s transactional and advisory work. For over three decades, we have advised Greek and international investors, developers, banks, corporates, family offices and private clients on the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposal of commercial, hospitality, logistics, residential and mixed-use real estate across Greece.
Our Real Estate practice is one of the firm’s main entry points for international clients investing into the Greek market, including private clients and family offices acquiring real estate as part of a wider investment, relocation or residency-through-investment strategy. Our work spans individual assets and portfolios, forward-purchase and forward-funding structures, sale-and-leaseback arrangements, development projects and the acquisition or disposal of real-estate-holding companies.
We work closely with our tax, corporate and finance teams on the full structuring picture, including holding vehicles, financing arrangements, transfer taxes, VAT treatment, security packages and transaction documentation built around Greek legal title. Hospitality real estate is a particular strength: we have acted on hotel developments, brand-licensing arrangements and resort projects for leading international hospitality groups across Greece. On development matters more broadly, we advise on land assembly, title due dilligence, urban planning, zoning, environmental authorisations, tourism licensing, construction arrangements and the permits needed to take a project from acquisition to operation.
Our leasing work covers landlords and tenants across office, retail, logistics, industrial and hospitality assets, and we handle a substantial volume of commercial lease negotiations for international brands and operators entering or expanding in the Greek market. Where real estate issues become contentious, we support clients on title, lease, planning, construction and neighbour-related disputes before the Greek courts.

Services
We advise on the acquisition and disposal of Greek real estate assets and real-estate holding vehicles, including title due diligence, transaction structuring, Greek-law SPAs, asset transfer deeds and completion mechanics. Our work covers individual properties, portfolios, income-producing assets, development sites, real estate components of wider corporate transactions and acquisitions connected to private wealth, relocation or Golden Visa planning.
We support developers, investors and landowners on Greek real estate development, including land assembly, urban planning, zoning, environmental approvals, building permits, development agreements, construction contracts, contractor appointments and project delivery issues. We coordinate with technical advisers where planning, environmental or engineering input is required.
We advise owners, operators, investors, developers and family offices on hotels, resorts, serviced residences, branded residences, tourism-related assets and mixed-use developments. Our work covers acquisition, development, operating structures, hotel management agreements, leasing, branding arrangements, licensing and exit planning.
We advise landlords and tenants on commercial leases across office, retail, logistics, industrial and hospitality assets. Our work includes lease negotiation, renewals, rent adjustment, fit-out obligations, use restrictions, subleasing, restructurings, terminations and asset-management issues during the life of the lease.
We advise lenders, investors and borrowers on financings secured against Greek real estate, including investment loans, development facilities, refinancing arrangements, portfolio financings and security over single assets, portfolios or property-holding vehicles. We work with our finance team on security perfection, enforcement analysis and lender due diligence.
We represent clients in real estate-related disputes before the Greek courts, including title disputes, lease disputes, construction claims, planning and permitting challenges, neighbour disputes, enforcement issues and claims arising from acquisition or development projects. We also advise at the pre-contentious stage where early action can protect value and avoid escalation.
