Overview
We advise automotive manufacturers, importers, distributors, dealer networks and after-market operators on the Greek-law issues that shape how vehicles are imported, marketed, sold, financed, serviced and supported in Greece. Our work covers commercial contracts, importer and dealership arrangements, distribution networks, aftersales services, warranty and consumer claims, product liability, product safety, advertising, e-commerce, competition law and data protection.
The firm has acted for many years for major automotive clients in Greece, including Toyota Hellas S.A. and I.N. Theocharakis S.A., the Greek importer for Peugeot, Nissan and Chevrolet. Our work for automotive-sector clients spans advisory and contentious matters, including distribution and network issues, consumer-facing terms, product and warranty claims, allegedly defective vehicles or parts, regulatory engagement and litigation.
We also support automotive clients as the sector adapts to new distribution models, digital sales channels, connected-vehicle technology, electrification and more demanding consumer and regulatory expectations. Connected vehicles and data-driven services raise particular GDPR and data-protection issues, including processor arrangements, international data transfers, customer notices, authority engagement and breach response.
Our automotive work brings together commercial, competition, consumer, data protection, technology, product liability and disputes experience. This allows us to support clients across the lifecycle of automotive activity in Greece, from market entry and network structuring to customer claims, regulatory risk and dispute strategy.
