Overview

Our private clients practice is built for matters where personal wealth, family interests and business assets require the rigour of a corporate transaction and the discretion of trusted private counsel. We advise entrepreneurs, senior executives, private investors, family offices and their advisers on succession, relocation, real estate holdings, investment structuring, immigration, tax residence and private disputes.

Much of our work has a cross-border dimension. International clients moving to or investing in Greece, and Greek-resident clients with assets, businesses or family members abroad, need advice that fits coherently across jurisdictions. We coordinate with private client, tax and wealth advisers through our trusted international network so that Greek-law advice is integrated with the wider tax, succession and asset-holding framework.

Greece has become increasingly relevant for internationally mobile individuals and families, supported by residence-permit routes, including the investor residence permit commonly known as the Golden Visa, on which we have advised more than 5,000 third-country nationals since 2014, alternative tax-residence regimes and incentives for pensioners, executives and foreign employees. We advise on the legal side of these regimes, the immigration arrangements that sit alongside them, and the longer-term estate, succession, governance and investment planning that often follows.

Our approach is discreet, structured and relationship-led. We help clients protect assets, manage family and cross-border complexity, invest into Greece with confidence and make decisions that reflect both personal priorities and legal consequences.

Services

We advise non-EU individuals and families on Greek residence-permit routes, including the investor residence permit commonly known as the Golden Visa, financially independent persons’ permits, executive and employment-related permits, family reunification and related immigration arrangements. Our investor-residency work is handled as part of a wider private-client service, including real estate acquisition, investment structuring, tax residence, succession and family considerations.

We support clients on the Greek-law aspects of tax residence, relocation and alternative tax regimes, including the Greek non-dom regime, the alternative regime for foreign pensioners and incentives for foreign employees and self-employed individuals relocating to Greece. Our role includes eligibility analysis, application support and coordination with tax advisers in Greece and abroad.

We advise on Greek succession law, wills, forced heirship, lifetime gifts, estate administration, EU Succession Regulation elections and the Greek-law treatment of foreign holding, trust or foundation structures involving Greek assets. The work often requires coordination across jurisdictions, particularly where family members, assets or tax residence are spread across more than one country.

We advise family offices, entrepreneurs and private investors on governance arrangements, investment-holding structures, intra-family agreements, family-owned companies, succession planning, confidentiality and the legal framework around family office operations. Our work supports continuity, control and orderly decision-making across generations.

We advise private clients, family offices and investors on Greek and cross-border private investments, including real estate, hospitality assets, corporate stakes, co-investments, private funds and joint ventures. We work with our corporate, real estate, finance and tax teams to structure investments in a way that reflects both personal wealth objectives and Greek-law requirements.

We represent private clients in disputes involving inheritance, succession, family-owned companies, shareholder rights, tax authorities, financial institutions, business partners and contested asset transfers. We also advise on privacy, reputation and media-sensitive matters, including data protection remedies, unlawful publication, defamation, confidentiality issues and civil claims where personal or family interests are at stake.
